Retirement Wishes-Limericks to inspire you.

This post is a change up.  Somebody told me that writing some bad poetry would improve my prose.  I am hoping that it might inspire as well.  Sure retirement is serious business but as I am coming to understand, you have to have some fun along the way.  So I stopped the relentless push and paused to smell the buttercups.  Maybe you will enjoy the break as well.  If these limericks inspire you to rhyme in then add you own limerick in a comment.

So here you have Sam’s retirement story

Sam’s retirement was lonely and boring

TV soaps left him drowsy and snoring

So he picked up the pace

And entered a race

Now he’s iron man Sam with crowds roaring

And Kevins

I’m dead broke, Kevin noted one day

His retirement funds frittered away

I need money, he sighed

But it can’t be denied

That a job interferes with my play

Now it’s your turn.
