Outrageous Retirement Moments

It is easy to tell yourself what  a great retirement you would have if you only had more money.  You don’t need to take a cruise or tour the world to have an outrageous retirement moment.  Take a day and ride the public transportation in a city you love.  Or even a city you think you know already.  Last week, my wife and I took the ferry to San Francisco and rode cable cars, trolley cars and busses.  It was cheap and fun.  We didn’t visit a museum and we learned much more about San Francisco than we ever learned visiting as a tourist. Whining is costly in this house!

What whining means.

Whining is a symptom of a retirement lifestyle gone off track.  Or a working lifestyle, for that matter. It is a sign that your life plan is failing. Don’t be confused because everybody you know is whining.  Whining is a way of life for most people; a badge of honor about putting up with life’s obstacles and a bonding agent for losers. Don’t just join this chorus of whiners. Recognize that whining is telling the world that you have submitted. You have accepted that you will be bound by somebody else’s rules and constraints.  You have given up control of your retirment  lifestyle. You have rolled over and said uncle to life.  You don’t matter.
