Well we have less than two weeks left before Christmas. I don’t know where the time goes? No tree left. The Christmas cards are still in the box. I haven’t started shopping. It goes without saying that I haven’t dredged up a drop of Christmas spirit. The season was different when I went to work every day and had small kids at home. Back then there wasn’t an option.

That was then, this is now.

I’ll do what I have to do. But just now, it isn’t clear just what that means. What do I need to do? What would be nice to do? And what doesn’t mean shit?

Today, I’m even less inspired than usual. My supply of pontification has run dry. Today, I’m asking readers to help me out . What are your Christmas spirit priorities? I see about five major areas contributing to the nurturing of Christmas spirit. What is your perspective on the importance of each?

The sky is falling

I have been agonizing here at RCB because the comments have fallen off. It was a great ride getting comments after months with hardly any. I was enjoying the attention and feeling good. I felt that it was proof that people liked me. Sigh! My reader count was up too. More people were stopping by and more were returning. I was feeling good about my effort. I concluded that what I was writing was interesting and people (some at least) were checking back to look for new content. My confidence was building. My enthusiasm growing but then it happened.
