Retirement Wishes-Limericks to inspire you.

This post is a change up.  Somebody told me that writing some bad poetry would improve my prose.  I am hoping that it might inspire as well.  Sure retirement is serious business but as I am coming to understand, you have to have some fun along the way.  So I stopped the relentless push and paused to smell the buttercups.  Maybe you will enjoy the break as well.  If these limericks inspire you to rhyme in then add you own limerick in a comment.

So here you have Sam’s retirement story

Sam’s retirement was lonely and boring

TV soaps left him drowsy and snoring

So he picked up the pace

And entered a race

Now he’s iron man Sam with crowds roaring

And Kevins

I’m dead broke, Kevin noted one day

His retirement funds frittered away

I need money, he sighed

But it can’t be denied

That a job interferes with my play

Now it’s your turn.

What you need to know about curing cancer.

They tell us that if we live long enough, everyone will get cancer. They also tell us that treating cancer with chemotherapy and radiation is the best way to put it into remission. They never tell us that they can cure cancer. The they in this case is the medical establishment who control the options when the big C shows up in our lives. Well, what if what they tell us is not true? There is great danger in acting on information that we believe is correct when it is not. It happened to me when I took a hike last week and my car wouldn’t start. There I only wasted time.   But it can happen to anyone whether they consider themselves to be an expert or not. There is mounting evidence that the standard treatment for cancer is not effective but this information is kept from patients by medical professionals who think that they are right and refuse to consider alternatives.
